Cu-IM-5 as the Catalyst for Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx with NH3: Role of Cu Species and Reaction Mechanism

نویسندگان

چکیده

The role of Cu species in ion-exchanged IM-5 zeolite (Cu-IM-5) regarding the performance selective catalytic reduction (SCR) NOx with NH3 (NH3-SCR) and reaction mechanism was studied. Based on H2 temperature-programmed (H2-TPR) electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) results, Cu–O–Cu isolated are suggested as main existing Cu-IM-5 active for SCR reaction. show a good NH3-SCR activity at temperatures below 250 °C, whereas their oxidation higher hinders performance. At low temperatures, NH4NO3 NH4NO2 key intermediates. In situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) suggests mixed Eley–Rideal (E–R) Langmuir–Hinshelwood (L–H) over temperatures.

Low temperature selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 over Mn-based catalyst: A review

The removals of NOx by catalytic technology at low temperatures (100–300 °C) for industrial flue gas treatment have received increasing attention. However, the development of low temperature catalysts for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with ammonia is still a challenge especially in the presence of SO2. The current status of using Mn-based catalysts for low temperature SCR of NOx wi...

The Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx with NH3 over Titania Supported Rhenium Oxide Catalysts

Titania supported vanadium oxide catalysts have been demonstrated to be very efficient catalysts for the selective reduction of NOx with NH3 and have found widespread industrial application for the control of NOx emissions from stationary sources (1). Characterization studies have demonstrated that supported vanadium oxide catalysts consist of a two-dimensional metal oxide overlayer on the oxid...

Modeling Transport Phenomena in Selective Catalytic Reductant Catalytic Converter with NH3 as Reductant for NO Degradation

In the current study, reduction of nitrogen oxide from exhaust gas in the presence of NH3 as reductant on selective catalytic reductant (SCR) impregnated catalytic converter was simulated using Comsol© software. Mass transfer (one-dimensional) and heat transfer (three-dimensional) governing equations were taken into account to model the unsteady state behavior of the catalytic converter. Modeli...
